The weather is finally starting to cool off here in the Bluegrass state and let me tell you - I'm thrilled! Fall is one of my favorite times of the year for so many reasons! As much as I love the summer heat, by the time the cool nights start to arrive I'm more than ready to ditch the shorts and pull out my flannels!
Growing up in Vermont, fall was such a beautiful time of the year. I have such amazing memories of watching the leaves change into vibrant reds, yellows and oranges and spending time with my dog out in the fields hunting pheasants (her favorite thing to do). My family always seemed to have the most exciting things planned during the fall which made us even happier to see the leaves start to change.
Now, living in Kentucky it takes a little longer for the leaves to change and they don't necessarily match those in Vermont, but it's still one of my favorite times of the year!
For one, I love decorating for fall! I've included some of my favorite fall items here that I use to get my apartment in the fall spirit just in case you want to do the same! I also love all of the different fall activities - pumpkin patches, apple orchards, carving pumpkins with friends and most importantly - preparing for the holiday season!
