There's Nothing Better Than Good Wine and Great Friends

I have to admit, I can be pretty lazy when it comes to finding things to do on the weekends. But this weekend with the weather forecast showing nothing but sunny skies and fall temperatures I knew I wanted to experience something new and explore Lexington with friends!

Sunny days in Lexington never disappoint and with a gorgeous afternoon, my best friend Gianna and I headed to Talon Winery in Lexington for an afternoon full of new wines and lots of laughs. I honestly can't believe I've never checked this place out before since I'm all for exploring wineries.

Gianna and I had a blast spending the afternoon walking around the vineyard, taking pictures, trying new wines, and even watching some weddings and gender reveals that were taking place around the property!

Talon has so many great wines but my favorite is the Equestrian Series X; I told Gianna we have to go back so I can buy a few bottles of it to keep at my apartment!

Besides getting to spend the day trying new wines and exploring the gorgeous property, one of the best parts of this afternoon was getting to spend time relaxing with my best friend. The past few weeks have been stressful on both of us and we both needed an afternoon to just unwind and spend time having fun, rather than stressing about work and our to-do list.

I'm a huge fan of spending quality time with friends and family, especially after stressful weeks! There's just something so healing about being with the people you love and disconnecting from everything else for a little while!

If you're ever looking for something fun to do definitely check out Talon Winery!

Where should we explore next? What do you and your friends like to do to decompress after a stressful week? Let me know in the comments on my latest Instagram post!

P.S. Massive thank you to the extremely kind stranger that took our pictures to keep us from trying to get this shot by ourselves. Also, masks were only taken off for pictures and everyone at the winery was so great about social distancing and following COVID-19 guidelines!
