Back in the Mountains and it Feels So Good

Oh my gosh. Let's talk about the past weekend. I swear I've never been so tired in my entire life! Over the past weekend, I officially made the move from Kentucky to Vermont and I tell you, I've never been so happy to see my childhood bedroom.

If you didn't see my post about my decision to move back to my home state, you may be wondering what the heck I'm doing back in New England after 5 years in Lexington. The short answer, I got a new job and I missed my family! Anyone who knows me knows I spent the past 5 years telling everyone that I would never move back to Vermont since there was nothing left for me there. Boy was I wrong. It's been 48 hours of being back and I can say with 100% certainty Vermont is exactly where I'm meant to be (at least for the foreseeable future).

Maybe y'all can relate to this, or maybe it's just me but I sleep so much better when I'm back in my hometown. Something about it just makes me so happy that I feel like I can finally breathe and relax for a while.

I guess I didn't notice but I don't think I've been as relaxed and happy and fully present as I am right now in years! I'm not saying that I didn't love my time in Lexington, because believe me, I'll be back there one day. But, I don't know, something about Vermont feels different now. I feel so good and I am beyond excited to see what new adventures I embark on now that I'm back!

First up on the adventure list, turning my childhood bedroom into a new, more relaxed space for me, since I'll be staying with my parents for a while!

Make sure to follow me on Pinterest and Instagram to see all of my inspiration and progress, not to mention all of my new adventures!
